Provident Credit Union Responsive Website Redesign
Brief
Completed redesign of Provident's website: content, UI, UX, frontend, and backend.
My Role
Web Designer/Developer at Provident Credit Union. I was the point of contact for our vendors, advised on design on technical direction, implemented the frontend code, and acted as the web manager.
Requirements
The original scope was to update the site to be responsive and feel more modern.
Strategy
The website's architecture hadn't been updated in a decade. The metadata and html couldn't be changed, every page was hand coded, and deployments weren't automated. This was an opportunity to do more than change the CSS. I led the effort to move the site to a CMS, update the content, improve SEO through metadata/ structured data, and develop to WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
Results
The site's improved SEO, UX, and structured data led to a massive increase in traffic. The new CMS made content delivery faster and reduced errors. The website was launched in 2020 and is still active.
