Education

BA Graphic Design at CSULB

Experience

Web Designer & Developer at Provident Credit Union

6/2017–4/2026

My job title really doesn't do me justice here. I've handled the work of a designer, art director, brand manager, marketing manager, FE developer, project manager, and web manager. Head over to my linkedin for some juicy ATS stats. After nearly eight years, I was ready for some time off. So now I'm on another break. I'm spending more time with my son, painting, and catching up on what I've missed after such a long tenure.

Senior Web Designer at Intwine Marketing

3/2015–11/2016

I loved the variety and pace of working at an agency. We focused on digital marketing and web design for clients in the wine and spirits industry. This was a great job, but a bit of a mismatch for my interests. I left this position to focus on learning web development (HTML,CSS, Javascript, and accessibility). I wanted to know how to make my designs come to life and be able to better communicate my vision to the backend team.

Freelance Design Consultant

10/2011–3/2015

This is easily the best job I've ever had. What worked for me was the variety of projects, the creative control, setting my own schedule, and building client relationships. I hope I'll be able to get back here one day.

Graphic Designer at WS Publishing Group

3/2010–10/2011

This was my dream job. I absolutely love books and typography, but bookstores started closing so I moved to San Francisco where there were more opportunities.

Graphic Designer hustling through college

6/2005–10/2009

My first paid design job was making flyers over the summer. I kept up this kind of work thoughout college.
